  • I looked up her article to check the VA section. But when I went to edit it, the names were already there but they aren't showing up.

  • Thank you for fixing the edit I made in Soga's status. I am still new to editing things and didn't know how to do it like that with the linking it.

    • Hey the picture is fine where you put it. And I can chat any where even on facebook. And what is thanksgiving without family drama.

I'm hoping to have this article renamed to either "Supply Package" or "Briefcase." I honestly prefer the former since it's more self-explanatory to what's inside and more familiar with people when referring to paradrops. If not, then having "droppings" capitalized is fine.

  • There have been cases throughout the series where players have lost their BIM or no longer possess their original BIM. I've also noticed that the Btooom! series keeps track of what type of BIM a character currently possesses and if they have any at all on the character data sheets. So, here's what I'd like to know in regards to the wiki: how should we track the BIM types for each Btooom! player article?

After thinking about it, I've reached a conclusion: It would probably be best if each BIM type was tracked on what BIM a person had ownership over. By going by this rule, the wiki would be able to wipe out any future problems involving characters who hadn't used their BIM.

Of course, I need to know whether you agree on this or not before I can go through with it, mate.

  • I recently came across this page, and it shows that the shield type BIM was actually translated as the barrier type BIM. I know this is probably the work of the scanlation team but I feel it would be best to rename the article.

    I spotted it here: http://www.batoto.net/read/_/183824/btooom_v11_ch58_by_s2scans/65

  • I'm rather sure you've mentioned that you're reading a chapter per day. It was because of that that I was wondering how does it feel like to work on this site, especially when spoilers practically lurk everywhere? Do you shield your eyes every time an unfamiliar person pops up on this wiki, or are you pretty much aware of what's being written?

It's been on my mind for a while, by the way. ^^

    • I'm actually told everyone I'm behind. Look at your messages. I believe it's the first message you received from me: Welcome to Btooom! Wiki. I only watched the anime, and I started reading the manga from the beginning a year ago or so. I'm working a chapter a week. That's why the site is outdated. I'm glad to see new folks here and add pages that are spoiler like the new characters like Yoko Higuchi. I'm used to working in Wikia communities where I'm behind everyone. I pretty much can tell what they're saying and avoid reading their comments.

The only thing I was spoiled with was the deaths of S***i, D*t*, and others. When folks change their status, they don't include refs or add details why they were dead. I'm forced to skip and ahead and skim to the parts where they die. I filled it out.

  • Would you happen to see any use of pages dedicated to information on alliances made between the Btooom! players, or do you believe the character pages and chapter/episode summaries explain enough about them on their own. Or maybe it's not pages we need but just categories that are needed...?

I only brought this up with you because of the following:

    - Felt that there was already a focus on characters, chapters, episodes, BIM, but definitely not on alliances between the players, especially concerning the members in them and how an alliance came to be disbanded when the alliance itself eventually came to an end. Basically, a status, group disposition, and history to be stated.

    - Again, not enough emphasis on how each group generally behaved.

    - Wanted to see a separation between existing groups and disbanded groups.

    - Figured that it was much more easier to organize the members of the alliances if you had at least something to display to the readers on who are the current members, whether a member was deceased, or whether a person was previously a member at one point.

    - Wanted to make it easier to organize when linking up an alliance a member is associated with or once associated themselves with by linking up the name of that alliance instead of just listing all of the members within that alliance at the time, thus lessening words in pages that were relevant.

    - Also wanted to place emphasis on the leaders of these groups. Since no names were given to any current alliances, it's best to say the name of the group with the designated leader. For instance: Ryōta's group, Yoshihisa's group, Masashi's group, and Himiko's group.

    - More articles for me to write in.

    • I do believe your idea is good, and I see the benefits.

There are some issues with the idea such as how we're going to organize it, how we're going to divide the pages, and how we're going to name it without being too subjective. Some of alliances are short lived such as Ryota and Kira's alliance to get out of that pitfall. We're going to face a lot of stub articles unless we combined into one page: Alliances. Can we devote a section called Alliance on the character pages? Is it redundant since we have a relationships section?

If it's too subjective, a blog would be better.

I'll put up a discussion on it soon. Sorry, I was busy making the Winter 2014 Guide at Anime Vice all week.

      Happy New Year!

    • Whew. No, everything seems fine. I'm glad that you've considered it and I'm also glad that you pointed out the errors that I hadn't seen. A lot of times you can miss the faults in your own idea once you give support to it. Also, do we actually have a relationships section? I've hadn't had any clue to it.

I suppose if we're going to seriously go with this idea we might have to put up some requirements as to what will qualify as an alliance in this site, and if they're notable enough to make a mention of.

Also it's perfectly fine. A lot of people are inclined toward committing themselves to a specific goal in mind, and this goal differs from person to person. Perfectly fine. Happy New Year to you as well! ^^

    • By rough draft, you really mean that I'm able to write whatever ideas I have to compile without any worry of repercussion, right? If that's the case, then I'm assuming that this page may later be subject to deletion if we ever finish.

Yes, you may. We won't be deleting the page. Rather, we recycle it into Ryota's alliance then transfer the other alliances to new pages if it's necessary. Next time, please write on my wall or Tweet at me in Twitter. These are my two main forms of communication. Writing in the edit summary will not send an e-mail to me. I check my e-mail to see if anyone in the Wikia needs to talk.

  • Naw, I don't really know him that well, I just figured he was the highest ranked person on the wiki, so I'd ask himabout it first. And thank you for your health. If you want, I can add the VAs for you, as soon as the infobox is ready for it. Thanks, Taka! :3

    • I finally figured it out. I was stupid. There was actually two types of character infoboxes. One of the character pages, Iwamoto, had the VA code working. When I compared Ryota and Iwamoto's page, I saw there was two different infoboxes.

    • Alrighty then, good thing we figured it out! I'll start work straight away, shall I? Thanks Taka! :3

  • I'm created the Gantz wikia(not counting the stub there before), and it has over twenty thousand views a week on average now. OnePieceNation just redid the main page recently, and came up with the idea to have "Affiliated Sites" at the bottom of it. Gantz and Btooom! are similar, random strangers tossed out to fight to the death in an unknown situation, etc. Would you agree to post a link to our wikia at the bottom of your main page, if we do the same for you?

    • Call me crazy, but I don't think Btooom Wikia is ready. I usually limit affiliations with Wikia communities that my teammates and I work on. That's why you see Btooom is affiliated with Sket Dance. I feel that if there is bond between the communities, the affiliation feature is utilized to its fullest potential. I know you worked in the community. I don't have you listed in mywiki report for December 2012 since you started out in January 2013. I do thank you for your contributions. I definitely follow up with your affiliation in the near future. Your community won't benefit from hooking up with a small community like this one. We got 103 pages created, all 12 episode summaries filled out (by me), and 12 chapters out of 60 filled out (by me as well).

Funny thing is that I got involved with Btooom Wikia after I found out a wiki editor, Kingdayday, plagiarized my plot summaries from Anime Vice. After finishing both episode summaries in Anime Vice and Btooom and making sure they're unique, I stopped working on Btooom in Anime Vice and resumed working here in the community for 8 months on and off.

I'm not the best Admin or wiki editor. I can only manage to do one chapter summary a week due to school and being an Admin in Sket Dance Wikia and a new mod in Anime Vice. By the next 18 weeks, I should be able to finish a total of 30 chapter summaries. In addition, I will try reading Gantz or watched the anime for the first time. I will work in your community for 3 weeks during winter break, December 2013.

I will contact you, and we will start an affiliation together. I know Bere will slap me for being stupid and not accepting this affiliation right away. This is how I operate. I'm used to working in small Wikia communities. I'm sorry for causing you inconvenience. I need to work in your Wikia community to return the favor.
